Macleay Island Accommodation offers both Bed & Breakfast and Self Contained

Accommodation, so whatever you need whether it be a romantic weekend
away, a family holiday, fishing trip or somewhere for tradies to stay just let us
know and we'll organise it for you.

Macleay island is sheltered in the vast marine park of Moreton Bay. It is rich in
native flora and fauna, edged with mangrove foreshores and sandy beaches,
providing respite from the outside world.

An eco-tourism dream and birdwatchers nirvana, the island offers a variety of
experiences.

The calm waters are great for swimming, fishing, sea kayaking and
snorkelling.

Visitors can enjoy gourmet breakfasts, champagne sunsets, al fresco dining,
arts and crafts or curl up with a book.

Mingle with the locals playing golf, tennis or lawn bowls, explore the bicycle
and heritage trails.

Watch the dolphins, turtles, dugongs or go for beach walks.

GETTING THERE
To get to Macleay Island you need to use a water taxi, vehicle barge or private boat. Redland Bay is the access point to the island. it is a small coastal town situated between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It can be reached by bus from Brisbane city.
Airport transfers from Brisbane or Coolangatta can be arranged. At Redland Bay the water taxi terminal is located at the southern end of Banana St. the trip takes about 15 minutes and there is a free public carpark at the terminal.
The car barge is located in Weinham St. Bookings are essential. This relaxing trip takes 40 minutes.
